Thanks for your inputs here. I 100% agree with your comments.
Please note I do plan to apply the mass damping material (this is the Silent Coat mats I bought), to the metal part of the external wheel arches once the liners are removed. This will be done before I add the acoustic insulation to the arch liners.
Feedback from Camper Converters I spoke to said these actions combined would make a material difference.
So my hope (and I am new to this) is that Silent coat dampeners plus the Acoustic insulation will combined make a difference I crave.
But after I do all 4 external arches, I plan to try and tackle other easy to access areas like the boot floor ( I hope I can apply the metal damping material to the underside when the spare wheel is removed.
Please note that our V-Class is quite new (less than 15,000 miles), so I’m really reluctant to start removing internal panels etc..
