The shunt didnt work for me, i get a code as soon as i start the engine if the vacuam to the egr is not connected. The vacuam transducer on my car is normally open, when the the electrical connector is disconnected there is vacuam applied to the egr. the ecu closes the egr by completing the vacuam transducer circuit to ground. Seems to work the opposite way around from what has been described here.
