Your new seats look very nice :D

I'm a northerner who has lived in the south for 45yrs. We had dinner ladies at school but I always call my midday meal lunch, although it varies with my evening meal, sometimes I call it tea, sometimes I call it dinner. I'm not posh enough to have supper though ;)

When I lived up north we used to take our own fish to the local chip shop and they would batter it and fry it up for you, don't think I've ever seen that done down south!

Like lb I am am expat northerner. I still think in terms of breakfast, dinner and tea but I have to translate it to breakfast, lunch and dinner for my Midland family and friends.

07 R Class now with 80something thousand miles on the clock. A few years back my seat started to crack on the side cushion of my seat, one crack lead to another & another. So last week I decided to bite the bullet & get something done with it. I just picked someone from the Interweb.
Yesterday afternoon they collected my seat and returned & re-fitted it at dinner time (that's a Northern dinner time ... not a Suvvern one ;)) .... needless to say that despite touching nothing ignition wise the airbag needed resetting

Before .....

After ....

If you were super critical, there's a very very slight difference in colour, and it's more matt than the original, but I'm just putting that down to being newer. All for £95 which I'm very pleased with. :D :D

Looks a super job for £95 lovely value for money improvement.
I am intriqued was that a new piece of leather they put in or some kind of magic repair?

It was a new piece of [STRIKE]leather[/STRIKE] vinyl ;-) .... I asked him the exact same question.

Is the rest of the car vinyl?

Some times MB vinyl is excellent some times awful.

I was surprised to find my rear door cards in 08 onward were leather, and the arm rest, but below the armrest is cloth and the top capping is plastic or vinyl ... so weird

Personally I would have put that leather on the dashboard instead.
Something to do with your arm sweating against plastic .

It's Artico - MB simulated leather, which is commonly used on Sports spec cars I think. One of the reasons we looked for an Avantgarde...

Artico Smartico, its a lovely job, I'd be pleased too, you can go back to pretending it's leather like I do. Most people, not the experts on here of course, don't know the difference. I don't need it (yet?), but I'm sure a link would be useful to some.
