They tried to charge me £380 for an ATF change, readaptations....
The readapted it last time and its mostly gone.
They advised me they can change the ATF to a different type, which is thinner. I guess this means from cold less viscous so a better change, but in the warm weather premature wear.
I will have to live with the fault.
I will probably, at a GTG when down south, enlist the help of Colin with regards to my car. I feel £380 is very steep for what Olly charged, which was the same STAR reset and the change for £154. Upon speaking with the service guy they later said they couldnt find fault with the car, yet wanted me to spend £380 as it "might" help what you are experiencing. Given past experieces I could only envisage the gearbox oil going into someone elses car.
I've got a new tyre on the car, so they have been good in that regard.
Surely this isn't the right thing to do? Once you start driving it will readapt..
They need to flash the ecu with updated firmware, not clear the adaptions.
