Getting into clocks....

I`ve heard spiders do not like lemons, so try leaving lemon peel or lemon cleaner about. Lemon I believe is very acidic, not good for clock innards.

We were told they don't like conkers and the previous owners of our French house left conkers dotted about all the nooks and crannies of the house....
Guess what. Six months empty and no spider webs at all!

Might have to fill the boat with them too. Everytime we go the spiders look like they've had a knitting bee....
