Hahaha, if you used 4K rpm all the way home you won’t have a license left by Brum!
That would be just my luck. Clear licence at the moment, but once managed to collect 9 points in the space of 10 days with a previous car.Hahaha, if you used 4K rpm all the way home you won’t have a license left by Brum!
I doubt I’ll ever exceed 70mph.Someone will know, but I suspect you’d still be in 3rd @4k, when the 70 limit came up 4th if you were just a little more cautious!
With 9 cogs to choose and a limited top of 180+mph, who cares?!

I’m intrigued to find out what speed 4500rpm in each gear gives you. I’d bet it’s still faster than most cars on the road, even though it’s still being broken in.
Thanks, that’s good to know.I'll try this at some stage though it would need a very big road to find out. Like runway sized...
As an insight, mine stays at just under 2,000rpm most of the time on motorways, provided that they're very quiet and I'm on my own on them.
Substantially less revs if I'm doing 70mph.
It’s one of the reasons why I have moved from London to Oxfordshire... far fewer working speed cameras!Marvellous, not long until you lose your licence then?
An update...
After being given remarkably duff info on 14/02, the car has FINALLY been built, and is just about to land in the UK. Picking it up at the end of next week, all being well. It has been a LONG 7 months.
Hope so! Can’t wait to finally get my hands on it.I’m sure the AMG smile will last longer
