I hope that everyone had a lovely Christmas.....

Had a lovely W205 C250 CDI in for power tuning, was a little down stock and after investigation DPF needed a regen and after our calibration from stock to tuned gained 54bhp and 79nm which transformed it.

Huge improvements in drivability and fuel efficiency has a slight improvement also.

Any questions please feel free to email info@gadtuning.co.uk

Many thanks

Ha ha ha yes well the customer who owns the vehicle does a healthy amount of mileage and the weather being the way it is can not be helped!

No issue with communication apart from some random Delphi variations like this one take an hour to read! You just have to sit and baby sit it, I always take the push start button out and use the key to stop the dash from sleeping. Its odd as others we do same year etc... 12 minute read lol so you cant tell until you get cracking on it.

Many thanks

Grabbed the plots for you guys.

Deltas are really good on these improvement in power and torque through out the rev range.

Many thanks

On the left is torque, on the right is horsepower and on the bottom rpm.
The coloured lines represent hp or torque and will be in pairs - before and after. So one pair for HP and one pair for torque.

Look at the key top left to identify if a line is torque (uses the left scale) or go (uses the right scale).
You can nowxsee what difference the remap has made at each rpm of the rev range.

In the example above you can see torque are the red and green lines. Torque peaks at 2000rpm and falls steadily away (fairly typical of a turbodiesel engine).
The blue and purple lines are power and should a steady increase in power asrevs increase to 4000rpm.
In general maximum acceleration will be obtained if the engine is kept between maximum torque and maximum power.

They are flywheel figures. The power at the wheels as measured by the Dyno us worked back to calculate and report flywheel figures. Transmission losses in a car are pretty well understood and quantifiable these days.

The actual numbers are pretty irrelevant though as it's the improvement that's important.

@LostKiwi explained beautifully thank you.

Our dyno doesn't measure through spinning a large mass which lower powered vehicles struggle with and higher powered vehicles cant boost up enough as the load isn't great enough ours uses a large eddy retarder which brakes the car and allows us to perform sweep tests or put the vehicle under load at whatever RPM we would like and monitor through instruments how the car is behaving.

As for "stock" figures Lostkiwi is also correct this is pretty irrelevant as its rare for a car vehicle to make stock figures. Our dyno does all of its corrections itself its not something I can change or adjust.

@phil barker barker what we are interested in is what we call the "delta" which is the difference in basically. Stock power blue, stock torque red, tuned power purple, tuned torque green.

Have seen soooooo many American dynos which are now famous in the tuning industry for reading high! The rule of thumb is an American dyno usually Inertia based there Wheel power is realistically the actual crank! Have seen some stock M3/M4s on American dynos say 490bhp and M5s saying 650bhp which is ridiculous!!!

Many thanks

What American dynos do you slam ?
Slam? Slam is the wrong term we chose carefully that the system we went for had a few things! Excellent support, upgradable to AWD and linked and brutally honest. That was our choice.

Many thanks
