Not sure what the big panic is?
Hit the lock button twice before going into the house & the key fob is disarmed so no signal for anyone to pick up.
Or keep the key in a Faraday pouch or biscuit tin, again no signal can be picked up.
Or, do nothing and this video is the result, we all have a choice.

I know this has been said before but for those that missed it......

1) The above measures defeat the whole purpose of the keyless system -and 2) you have to do it wherever you leave the car as the thieves lurk in carparks (on the lookout for cars they want) with the same gear & signal boosters. They will follow you into the supermarket etc while their mates help themselves to your car.

In one of todays red top newspapers its reported that police have seized one of the gizmo's that enable the key code to be read.
Apparently its like a TV set top box.

What can be done about them I'm not sure, but making them illegal to own or sell could be a start. Unfortunately, like weapons, there are ways and means for the scrote to obtain anything at a price.

I think we have to accept we know the system is compromised and return to something more basic .
