Up the road in Skiathos we get a couple of days of snow every year. % years ago it was a metre deep.

Can you imagine the chaos in Athens if we had a metre of snow here!!?? It's anarchy now on the roads so I dread to think what will happen if it snows - guess it would be about the right time for the snow plough drivers to go on strike!

Bin men are out at the moment - (must be about the right time to do some christmas shopping!

Just finished work and the old Vito triumphs again 170 miles driven in continuose heavy snow ( Its been snowing here now for over 24 hours) and all on residential streets. Not had one slide and not to many muppets about as they all crashed their cars during the day :lol:

I dont think I'd like to be on the roads in the morning as its very bad around here now.

Same car, same place as yesterday's pics. Parked it up at 17.30 having had to try and go out, Lincoln was gridlocked, so gave up and came home. This is what it looked like this morning at 0800!!

Nothing really here (portsmouth area) so best i can do is last january when it took me 7.5 hrs to do 6 miles home due to gridlock and cars not being able to get up a large hill
You can just see the rear of my car in pic.

This is my one this evening. I made sure I cleared the snow around the star this morning before going to work cause I didnt want none of the crazy kids to take my star along when when they scoop snow from my car.

Did he flake out while filling up? Once it was covered in snow, had he lost his bottle?

That particular car is powered by veg oil. I like the owners description of it's green credentials....

....Veg powers car > charges battery > powers pump > refills car with veg > powers car >collects veg from restaurant (powered by veg) > veg gets filtered (by gravity) > pumped to car > powers car > charges battery, oh the joys, its a wonder I get anything else done......

....like closing the bonnet afterwards?

Better than the trains, buses, and other folks around here.

Drive to work, 20 mins longer and 5mpg down. Bit of a pain.

With wide tyres its not great, gives a "floating" on the ice feeling rather than digging in, on side roads I just go the creep and be gentle, gentle is the key.

Heated seats are a hoot. Lovely!!!
