Position / side lights in my car are the most often replaced ones (yes, I know - it's because I like LEDs, but that can't be helped), and yet they are the most difficult to remove. Well, not the bulbs themselves, but the bulb holders.
In W169 the position light is accessed through the same hatch as the full beam, but it's tucked away off centre, and impossible to grab with your fingers.
As a result, I (and everyone else I suspect) end up pulling the holder by the wires, which is far from ideal, even if it's only once a year ... On top of that, one can't really see the holder, even with a mirror, it's a bit tricky.
I thought, I better come up with a better solution, as I just fitted a pair of new LED bulbs - who knows, if they stay good for a year, or go psycho blinking next month.
With that in mind, I made this contraption. It's not sexy and rough around the edges - literally, I'll smooth those over tomorrow - but it does the job, with my eyes closed, so pretty much as it is in real life
