I know this thread is very old but same situation for me, my C43 was an ex-demo had done 9k miles when i bought it and when i was driving it home i noticed the brakes didnt feel right, i rung the AMG dealership (birmingham) who said it had been sitting there for a while it will be fine... ignored and took it to my local mercedes who said it had brake judder. Rang Birmingham merc back and told them what it was, said ok well get the garage to ring me....

later that day my local merc ring me ... no need to bother the AMG garage, AMG directly have agreed to replace all the brakes under warranty.

Car has been fine ever since :)

Ex-Demo cars have obviously been thrashed!

Yes thats what happened - they have replaced the discs and pads. The car feels fine now having done about 500 miles on it since picking it up the brakes feel great - gently bedding them in but so far so good.

Should all be good from now on.
Enjoy the car!

Some crabbing at low speed/max turn lock but see this is an issue for other 4x4 mercs

Glad you like it. Good piece of kit aren't they. ;)

This is an unfortunate but known fault as you suggest. Winter tyres "may" cure, or at least partially alleviate, it. I seldom use mine in the colder months so it doesn't bother me.

Yeah I’ve got the ****** crabbing on mine now it’s turned cold in the morning. £100k of car and it feels like a 20 year old ford escort banger when doing 3 mph out of the drive every morning!! Will have a word at first scheduled service but doubt anything will happen. Oddly I had it on my S63 too and that was only RWD and less than 4 months old at the time so not isolated to 4WD vehicles.
