How do I find out the engine type?
I had a look in the log book but it only gave the engine number.
I know it's the V6 3.0 Ltr diesel, but there doesn't appear to be an engine model type recorded in the V5.

The engine type is the first 6 characters of the engine number. For example 119072 is an M119.072.
If it's a diesel engine the prefix us OM, for petrol M so in the example above its a petrol M119, variant 072.
