I have a 53 year old diesel running in a boat using crappy fuel and has injested sea water in the fuel system twice, and a car with 273000 miles on the clock.
Not a single drop of any additive has been used on either, and what do you know, they both run as they should !
Why waste money on a placebo effect?

Yes Dreamer, that's exactly the way it was done....and with every car that came on the fore court !!! LOL In more recent times, my previous car a 2003 Audi A6 1.9 TDI Sports, ( AVF Engine, one of the best engines VAG ever made, IMHO ) started to occasionally go into limp mode. So I tried the 2 stroke oil trick 300ml per tank. Result? no more limp modes, quieter engine, with no adverse effects noted. Not so sure that I would use it on the W212 though...….anyone on the Forum used it on their Diesel Mercs? And if so what was the result? The manual expressly forbids using any additive.....
