Had mine for nearly year now 350,2007 love it first merc I've had. No major issues ,had the command unit changed,to more updated pioneer unit, get a good indie merc garage and you won't go far wrong mate

That's interesting - what does the Pioneer unit give you and what sort of cost does it run to?

I was just wondering if you could update the system to add things like DAB etc.

Cheers

Got it, thanks.

And the previous engine (M112?) was fitted till '04?? No real issues with that unit?

This all seems like a fine balancing act!

No, the 112 was fitted up to 29/05/06 and it had 4 grill slats.

The 112 is a very good engine as Lost kiwi has said, but the performance no where near as good as the 272

The 112 0 to 60 is 7.2 sec, fuel combined 24.1 mpg
The 272 0 to 60 is 6.6 sec, fuel combined 24.7 mpg

M6 Cab - prior to that, SL63 AMG, A-M V8 Vantage, SL55, SL500 and many more
another "easy to miss until you get it home" is the folding windbreak attached to the rollbar - the first in your link has it missing - it's there on the second car

Often unscrupulous dealers/owners keep the wind deflector and sell it separately as they fetch a couple of hundred quid on eBay. So something to watch out for.

I got my SL350 2 years ago with 28k miles and 2003 in mint condition with no problems at all, they are out there and as stated condition is key. I had mine remapped for £290 and changed back box, sounds lovely and very close to v8 performance IMHO. Good look and welcome and malcolm is king on any problems (television).

Just out of interest - what do you guys think of this:
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classif...rly New&onesearchad=New&model=SL CLASS&page=2

And this:

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classif...chad=New&radius=100&make=MERCEDES-BENZ&page=3

Just trying to sense of how you'd view it with your experience and perspective so I can learn more.

Thanks

The second one looks OK, I like the interior colour, don't like the fact the car was photographed wet, car appears to have parktronic, and 18" AMG alloys but not a lot else. SH looks sketchy, don't expect much.
