I remember a few years back, when we lived in Biggeswade near Old Warden Airfield, John Jordan, who was the owner of Jordans Cereals had one and he used to do aerobatics over our garden, and neighbours as well of course. He would just drop out of the sky and pull out only a few hundred feet above use, used to make us duck.

He also had a Pitt Special which was amazing, the vertical climb and the height it could do that to was awesome

Pitts Special is a beast. The chap who is selling the E75 has just bought one.

Its up to you when you change your tyres as long you don't go beneath 1.6mm tead depth. Personally 3-4mm is where I change the tyres, they just don't seem to offer the grip and I am not a boy racer by any means. The most important parts of a car as far as I am concerned are the brakes and tyres

No worries, I am sure someone will try and push me to replace them at a higher cost than I can do myself.

And the steering wheel. It's difficult to steer without a steering wheel, mole grips help but not very satisfactorily

Just booked a free MOT with the Halfords voucher. I've put a note in the booking not to do any work unless they ring first. The only thing that they might make a comment on is the foot parking brake and the 3-4mm rear tyres.

I hang around while they do the MOT, prevents any funny business, I often enter the pit and strike up rapport with the tester, Manager gave me some wipes for my shoes last time to prevent grease on the mats!

Ouch, I'd suggest if you want a narrower car perhaps buying one would be the cheaper option rather than modifying your own...

Took the 230 for a run to Kenilworth and back. Top down it was lovely.
Noticeably quieter with the new engine mount

You feel my pain. A friend of mine does that. I've sent him the picture, needs the rear lid doing after the badges get removed so will do it all at once.
