Flowing pretty well M27 westbound when I came through there about an hour ago
M27 has been fine, it’s the M3 where they’re replacing the central reservation that drivers appear to lose their brains over… it’s still 3 lanes but they can’t comprehend how to drive it when it’s an average 50 with construction work in the middle.

For some of them, it’s probably one of the few times they go on a Motorway each year

Drove it 700 miles or so. Just 20 miles into the trip first flat tyre in 6 years. Managed to get to a safety bay on the M1, unpack the boot onto the roadside and repaired it with the tubeless tyre repair kit. Just under 680 miles later and not lost even 1lb pressure.

Driven it home after two weeks parked under a tree…

Might need a bucket of water throwing over it… still the showers got most of the bird poo off…

I was sitting in the car this morning waiting for my wife to re-emerge from a shop. Just fiddling like you do and I discovered after two and a half years of ownership that the car has voice recognition. I said 'Can I have a route to Aldi in Hall Road'. It obviously mis-understood me and came up with Elvino's, a restaurant in god knows where. on arriving home I thought I would have a fiddle but can't find out how I got to this function in the first place. Anyone got any clues as to how this function works ?

[C216] - Examined issues with transmission oil cooler lines and discovered AC condenser is on it’s last legs as well, oh joy! Anyone got any experience of aftermarket versus genuine MB condensers? The price differential is significant and I wondered if it was worth sticking with genuine.

At least my new Xentry/DAS system works, nice to be able to see what’s really going on inside the numerous modules

Should have a Linguatronic button on the steering wheel?

Brilliant, thanks. I do have that button, I will go and have a little play with it now. That now is two things I wasn't shown on the vehicle hand over, first was the 'Park Assist' and now this. I my day you would have received some very stern words if you shortcutted the handover just to get the customer off of the forecourt so you could deal with another customer.

Well not actually today, nor me, but...

On Friday, my tech swapped out the damper / accumulator on the power steering pump.

Unfortunately, there was no shifting the old unit with the pump in situ. So out came the pump assy - eventually. I've got to say, it was rather a tense moment with the pump in a vice trying to unscrew the damper. It was really in there. If it had snapped off I was looking down the barrel of a new (reconditioned) pump at £1,000+ from MB.

Fortunately, with a bit of gentle persuasion if came free.

Replaced, all refitted. Fluid all flushed through using the flush tool purchased from Aga Tools. Bled as necessary.

vibrations through the steering wheel almost gone - it was 90% there. So, wheels balanced on Saturday morning. Its now 99.5% :) very happy. Must have a bush wearing somewhere. Next job, then :)

Gave it a very quick bath last night and a spritz of turtle wax ceramic detailer, raining again this morning so obligatory bead porn shot was taken.

I need to give it a proper clean after we move strip the layers off and re wax, the beads aren’t quite round enough anymore.

Washed mine before a good coat of Collinite 845. The first of a few before winter comes.
Can't attach the photo...it's apparently too big

Interesting thing with the forum is that I can generally post pictures directly from my iPhone at original resolution - if I use my iPad or laptop the same picture is too big... o_O

That used to be my experience but, just recently, iPhone pics are coming up as too big. Same phone and settings as before.
