I Fancied a CLK, bought an SL350
What grease did you use on slide pins ?
Now this is where I may have dropped the batten...., used a lithium spray grease, usually reserved for door hinges and latches, but in my defence it had the words "silicone lubricant", am I guilty of the substitution?

Should be ok. Normal grease rots the rubbers and makes em stick. That's all I can think of tbh. If the piston had stuck the caliper carrier should still retract a tiny amount once depressed. All be it one side at least .

It is odd why they both are binding, n/s more than o/s, but disturbingly hot after a short 11 mile crawl to work this morn. Guess another strip down and sneaky peak at the piston condition if possible....not even sure if the pistons are available separately if needed.

Brakes international sell all you need , even part ex old for new calipers .I'd suspect it's something you did ,if both sides are sticking .

I can also vouch for eurocarparts calipers, cheaper if you buy them via carparts4less as well.

Both of those I recently purchased were genuine ATE with a Mercedes star in the casting.

Some routine maintenance.

I noticed the drain at the bottom of the windscreen was not draining (blockage somewhere). A "Drain Snake" sorted that problem.

Rubbers treated with "Gummi Pflege Stift"

Panoramic sunroof greased and lubed.

Time for coffee now.

Manged to bugger the boot lock by shutting my jumper in it had to have it taken apart
Now just works as a push button don't lock but at least it means I can Jump start up when I leave it so long and the batter goes dead I am then not locked out of the car
