Removed air cleaner on my 260e .This was so i could get in to checked the rubber pipes and fittings for the vacuum lines , looked in all the usual places .All look fine for now. And then i used spray silicon on all the rubber parts , heater hoses in particular along with main radiator hoses . Made a list so i could find all the ground points, so i could remove them and re grease them all up before i put the bolt back in to clamp the earth leed back on .. Must pick up a new ht leed .The one sent to me by Rob at threpointedparts did the job well , only its a little to long and not matching the other 5 .. Wednesday she goes in to have the front rubber coupling replaced on propshaft .Had it a few weeks now ,,and this was an advisory on my last mot in March.2017 Did try to remove the engine temperature sensor the last sensor on the end of the head at the back .Only to find i have no socket deep enough to remove it.Think this may need a special tool .Like a ring 22mm with the front 1/4 inch cutting out with a grinder to clear the engine lifting eye.Jb for next time.

Richard thank you for information .I have three socket sets now, and they are to thick on the wall of the socket to get in there to remove the sensor . I just think its a special tool they use , you know mercedes .The sensor is so close to the rocker box this makes it hard to get a normal socket on there. Also restricted by the engine lifing eye thats close by. I need to modifiy a ring spaner .Thank you Trevor ..

Mind if I ask what app this is?

Fitted a Parrot Mki9200 to the coupe earlier. Impressive audio quality and really quite easy compared to others I've installed in the past.

Sure, this is the Road Trip app. It's excellent. Gives you these sorts of statistics and projections (this is one screen just scrolled down for the screenshots).

Yes the £1.50/ mile is bang on!

Annual oil and filter change. Currently connected to a fuel pressure gauge as it struggles when starting from cold, feels like it builds up fuel pressure too slowly.

No longer own a Mercedes Benz
Tried various methods of fixing the Parrot display screen to an area of the dashboard with mostly disappointing results. Ended up with uva glue and so far it seems to be holding....will know more after a hot afternoon parked in the sun.

image.jpeg image.jpeg Just done a freshen up of the W211 engine bay , used a degreasant first , hosed it on fine spray with engine running , then a bit of iron fallout remover . When it had dried I used ACF50 over everything . Pics are a before and after .

Is that because you have a 'can' do attitude?
