[C216] - Driven 450 miles, most of it with a dashboard complaining about ABS/ESP messages

It threw a wobbler about 2hrs into the trip, not happy with it right now, wishing I had kept my R129 at the moment.

Managed to get home after 700 miles of the car having a nervous breakdown.

Turns out to be a rear wheel speed sensor, but as I don’t want a repeat of this in the near future ( I know it will happen again at some point even with new parts ) I will be replacing all 4 with ATE sensors from Autodoc.

Curious query - when roughly would you swap back and what do you use for "winter", winter tyres or all season?
October to April is the generally accepted norm, although Wighty is a little different to the norm…;)

Normally I would swap in April/October but I was busy this year . I have a spare set of 16” wheels for each car . The E class spares are winters , but the CLK‘s are All seasons because we tend to use that car for road trips so I figured they would overlap seasons better .
In normal driving though there is not really any difference between winters and all seasons.

Decided to address every niggle on the SL. I was in Milton Keynes today so decided to take a very short trip to Auto Class as they are only 30 minutes away from my home.
Very impressed with the welcome I got and the car booked in for 26th for its medical and cure.

20 years old is or seems to be the change to classic stage, or so some classic insurance companies state.........

From what I've read on this models evolution, we are defo gonna be in that category sooner or later, I think most SL's will be
