I forget which ‘Vette it debuted with. The concept was, the Husband Key had a transponder that activated the standard full power map in the engine ECU and all four cylinder banks. The Wife Key activated a reduced power map and/ or only two- three cylinder banks dependent on the model year, so only half power was available. Cue many American housewives wondering why their hubbies raved over Corvettes when (to them) they were only vaguely sporty.A Wife key?
