Royal Navy submarine service veteran, comms engineer, & now MB owner saying Hi!!

My name is Neil. Just joined as I have a Mercedes Benz C220 CDI Classic SE '55 plate which had a major failure. Still love it though so did the repair myself with a little help from mobile mechanics etc. I live in Gosport, Hampshire however the car is currently at my girlfriend's in Hedge End as she has a better driveway. It's been an experience I must admit repairing this for the very first time. I have made mistakes and learnt a lot in the process. Would I have another Mercedes again? Damn right I would!!! Love them, every single one of them. A newer E class estate would be awesome next or a newer C220.
I haven't done comms work for a while. Do more consulting work now, helping people with utility bills and seeing how we can make savings on those in any way possible.

Totally agree with you there. Having driven many other cars I wondered why I didn't move to Mercedes earlier when I was offered the chance years ago. Awesome vehicles!!!

Thank you. Although I wanted to stay in and do the full 22+ years. I was medically discharged in 1993 after a nervous breakdown. My doctor knew I wanted to stay in and recommended I was simply transferred. The medical board over-ruled him. I was furious to say the least. Now living in poverty with a pathetic pension and in debt from my uni days still.
