So with 150k burning a hole in your pocket for a similarly aged car.. what do you buy?

Not a chance  Rather have an S63 and have some cash to spare :)

Agreed, that point was nestled into the question. There isn't really much is there, unless you go pretty exotic.

And what about a V12 coupe.

Lol, as I was typing it I saying it in a Doug De Muro voice..

Oh and don't forget the trunk, dear! :)

The only plug in that comes to mind is a butt plug connected to the live mains that sends the current every time an americanism is posted on this forum. No doubt something will be a bargin this month :geek::rolleyes::shock::D:cool:

Too predictable...
I like knowing that it will start, stop, go, not leak and not drop a corner overnight...:D:p
I also think they're much nicer to look at than a bank statement and the interest rates on the right 911 beats any savings account...
A Mercedes is more like having a joint account with a serial shopaholic / addicted gambler:(

I did always say that once I have well and truly made it or won the lotto, it would be a 911 Turbo for me...

I seem to be the latest fanboy of MB so maybe that statement needs updating..

Me too, obviously... £150K might just get a 997.2 GT3RS? Nothing very predictable about those...
Can get a 991 GT3 RS for £150K :D

You could buy two teslas for that and have two cars that beat every car mentioned on this thread ! ;)
Until you want to go around a corner...

Or drive for more than a mile...

Haha, took a while for the bait to be taken... Face it, you buy your big engined cars for the power, but have now to come to a point where a 5 door family saloon annihilates you from a standing start.
Ah, I have only one response to that: Mezger!

Had to google that as it was meaningless. So a £150k car built specifically for speed and handling is a whole 9 seconds faster round the nurburgring than an electric family 4 door saloon costing around £45k ? Not very impressive really. Ive also worked out the tesla can go further than the Porsche on one tank !
The germans still seem to be knocking out mpv,s and performance cars and generally being reserved about new technology, sticking with what they know, making very good cars ,while the rest of the world is concentrating on electric, hybrids etc.. Could be the death of the german auto industry as they get left behind ?

Its possible in the very near future you will be struggling to find petrol stations as yet more petrol stations in my area close yet the amount of cars on the road increases? I don't quite get that, but can see a possibility where you are forced out of your ice cars just by lack of available fuel stations... Would be quite ironic when many of you are currently quoting the lack of charging points... :)

Don't take things to heart though.. im not getting rid of my planet killing diesel any time soon for electric.. Although if I was to be given a tesla I would be more than happy as motoring costs would fall dramatically..

Well, what you say is true, but a GT3 is about much more than just lap times. If you've never experienced it, then you are missing out - presuming that driving a sports car is something you would enjoy. Perfectly OK if you wouldn't enjoy it, each to their own. Sorry about the thread hijack with the reference to a particular Porsche engine.
