I think that’s the only valid reason for choosing one...

I looked at the E300e and E300de all half the BIK of the E220d but no better economy and probably much scarier running cost when out of warranty...

Washed it yesterday, second time this year.

I've not really done much with it at all due to the current situation so I've just been picking my moments to use it really as I don't want to just use it for the sake of it as that would sort of take the special bit away for when I do have the opportunity.

I got a reminder from that annoying ME app that the car's due it's first service next month, so thought I'd just pop online and book it in. Easy yes? Not with Mercedes unfortunately, the online booking page kept kicking me out and suggesting I rang them instead. The number they offered was a central booking one so I thought I'd try my local dealership in preference to that. This failed and I still ended up with the central number, placed in a queue. After a couple of minutes I was given an option to received a call back which I gladly accepted. This was over 8 hours ago now and I'm still waiting for my call back.

I took it upon myself to actually visit Mercedes and book it in myself so at least I know that it's now done, though I went in the Lexus as the Scoop is still in the garage being pampered to a wheel off deep clean of the brakes and hubs.

They're certainly not making things easy for the customer at the moment and, if the car didn't have a couple of warranty issues which I need sorting, it would have been booked in with an independent instead.

She only did 2000 miles since last time and over half of that was cruising French motorways...
