yellow engine diagnostic warning

the yellow engine diagnostic warning just popped up, it was hard to see as it was 3:20pm and the clock hands almost covered it, had to get the book out and look up what it was, car is driving ok and all instruments look normal.
The only thing recently was a couple of days ago I was driving in a 50 zone with cruise control on and a car was merging on a slip road so I speeded up a little but noticed slow response, later on I tried to speed up but it did not kick down, was going to investigate but next day all was normal as it was today no problems.
It's due service and MOT 11th Feb or is this needing more urgent attention?

As always , it needs the fault codes read to see whats what.

Get it seen to first. Could and is most probably something simple and mere maintenance item.

Good indy with correct diags will see you right.

I think eml is an instant MOT failure but someone please correct me. So get it done first.

Its logged as an advisory AFAIK.

It is, but with a warning light it’s giving you a message... ignore it at your peril...

EGR valve, now replaced, now just the hole in the wallet to fix.

was the egr beyond repair ? would it not of cleaned up ?
