Hi all

My 215 55 Kompressor is fully dismantled now. (https://forums.mercedesclub.org.uk/index.php?threads/w215-project-series-it-has-begun.194986/) Engine is on the stand along with everything else out.

I already have 180mm crank pulley, larger injectors and water meth on the engine. So I thought I'd pose the question. Is there anything else you guys would like to see on it?

I am probably going to fit a larger throttle body/SC inlet, and potentially thinking about fitting some stiffer engine mounts. Both are far easier with the engine out.

Any other thoughts or recomendations, or potentially things that you would like covered in more detail on the videos?

Yes, it has a split IC circuit, CWA100 IC pump and an additional secondary heat exchanger. That, along with the water methanol means intake temps should be good.

It has the larger brakes from a CL65 AMG fitted :p

I'll put the amg black series badge in the boot (under the floor :p)

Weistec blower, or GTFH ;)
Too many spondoolies. I am doing the bearings in the supercharger. My pre sc water meth nozzle washed all the lube out of the rear bearings..... Doh

I'm already spending twice the value of the car in parts lol

I’d forgotten yours was a 55K, as I was about to add a Kleeman blower kit.

Great work on this Alex.

I vote for 16” wheels to lower tyre costs and reduce pothole cracking
That would be nice (and the great thing about the 211) but 19"inch wheels are the smallest that will go over the brakes

You want the old injectors? :p

That comment is below the belt Alex........:( you know me and injectors are.....can't even bring myself to say, it hurts too much and I don't want to even bring the subject of me throwing my toys out of my pram......:p
You'll need to change that second throttle body under the intake.......Actually you can throw it my way if and when I get to removing my supercharger early next year, oh thank you Alex you are very kind ;)

There's always some old skool options....longer duration high lift cams, big valves, headers, larger ports all the way through....

Yes, I would not mind headers, but none are RHD fitment, and the guys who build them here want me to get the car to them with no exhaust on it. There is a kleeman mid length option, which will probably clear the steering column a bit more closely. I may get in touch with them. I will probably leave the heads on for my sanity :)

Found some Kleeman Mid length headers and downpipes. Still required modfiication for RHD, but should be easier than making long tubes fit, and still give good gains and noise. Doing a deal :)

I might draw the line there. It is still a CL after all :)

So 180mm crank pulley, water methanol, Belt Wrap Kit, bigger injectors, larger throttle body and Mid length headers, should net 650ish.

Bring it on!
