SL350 Roll Bar not retracting properly (2011 Facelift).

The roll bar will deploy normally using the up button under the roof activator flap but on occasion will only return to the level position with 3 or 4 distinct presses of the down button. The roll bar moves through about 30 degs then stops, you release the button and re-press; a further 30 degs etc until it comes to rest on the horizontal.

Normally it would retract in a single continuous movement.

The fault seems to be intermittent.

Thoughts anyone?

Hi Marrijon. My 2012, R230 does exactly the same. I assumed it was normal.
