Well, after two weeks away at the bodyshop it's back I'm pleased to say I was beginning to really miss it. To say I'm pleased is an understatment, I'm over the moon with the result. :)

I'd asked for photos to be taken during the different stages and I'll post these in due course.

According to the bodyshop the underside is solid so should be good for a few years yet. :D

That does look nice Malcolm,,, now is the time to put the plastic trim around the rear wheel arches as in the DIY section,,, it should hold back any further rusting for years, slop some waxoil all around the arches back and front and fit the plastic trim to the rear.

Thanks Malcolm!

I read your thread on using the mini guttering and guess what I ordered some last week so it's on my to do list. Unfortunately MB no longer supply new mud flaps so I've had to refurb the old ones so as soon as they are fitted I'll add the protective plastic.

The body shop have done a great job, feels like a new car :)

That really made sense, you know the car, they are a very nice car, in a way one could say MB at their best for the layout and what the car offers

The odd new mudflaps do come up on Ebay and the clips as well
