W204 Heated Seats

Hi guys and hope someone can either shed some light or provide advice on my query.

I have recently bought a 2008 C Class W204 SE model from a dealer, it wasn't a MB dealership.

It has 2 heated front seat switches that do press in when used but nothing happens, no lights illuminate.

I've raised this with the dealership and they have come back with the answer that the switches etc have been pre fitted by the MB factory and are only connected if required as an extra.

Would this be true, or have I been duped.

I wouldn't have thought that MB would go through the agro of installing switches etc for something that may never ben used...

Any Ideas or advise would really help as I only have a 3 month warrantly on the vehicle..

Though one can always be wrong I have never known a car to be fitted with switches that have no use or function.

You could pop up your VIN in the VIN check thread and we can check it out.

Was the car advertized with heated seats

Its quite funny you mention it being advertised when it was sold.

That was the 1st thing the dealer said " it wasn't advertised with heated seats" and he was right

It will cost you nothing to pop up the full VIN number and we can check for you
