Hello everyone,

I am a new member on here and first time owner and have a couple of questions regarding phone kits.

I hope fellow members won't mind answering. I tried the search but couldn't find the answers to my questions, also pologies if this has already been covered.

My car has a Nokia 6110/6210/6310 car kit included with the tax disc antenna.

Is it worth buying a 6310i to keep the originality or going for a parrot which I believe will allow me to use my I phone to play music through the speakers.

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks

Chris

You can do what ever, the snag with just a 6310 is it will use a sim card.

I had a Nokia phone in my W211 and it worked well. It was just that I had to keep topping it up and had to redirect my smart phone to it when in the car. I purchased a Visio MBU-3000 Bluetooth unit from Command-online that fits into the Nokia cradle. It syncs with my Samsung smartphone almost instantly. It won't stream music but you can upload your contacts etc. Command-online are in Surrey but you can order online (www.commandonline.co.uk). They were really helpful and are highly recommended.

On the issue of the lack of music streaming - remember that you can play MP3 files in the DVD slot of the comand unit - I have a DVD in the slot with over 4.0gb of music.

Many Thanks. I don't have sat nav in my car. There is just a basic CD changer radio similar to what is fitted to my 2013 and 2011 Sprinters.

That's ok. Speak to them anyway, what they don't know about integrating phone kits into MB isn't worth knowing.
