Just bought all filters and engine oil service packs to do both my 215 and a friend’s 219. £245 all in.

Thanks for this Craig

Just purchased air, cabin & oil filters for both the W209 & W211, and all round Brembo discs & pads for the W209 all for the princely sum of £260.

Happy with that

Found a curbed Alloy today. I was with the Mrs when she mounted a curb to clear an overtaking car coming the other way, she thought she was being clever mounting at a dropped curb but then drove straight off without waiting for 2nd dropped curb. I rolled my eyes and said at the time there goes an alloy wheel, she still argues it wasn't that that did it and it "must be you driving in London" yes right, thank God she is now driving the Kia .

AMG diamond cut, reckon that will cost a bit for refurb.

Question is can I live with it on the basis it may happen again or do I take the plunge for a fix now.

The Kia is a manual and she reckons it hurts her gammy arm on long journeys so may still wait...

I paid£125 to have an alloy recut and relacquered, at a local Chips Away Type place. Result was so good one couldn’t even feel the difference with fingertips let alone see it.

Next time try Northampton Welding. Proper scruffy little back street place but they do a superb job for less than that!

I did (you recommended them last year IIRC) but they couldn’t fit me in at the time.

Washed the car to find it covered in tiny yellow lumps that wouldn't wash off. Probably pollen. I was parked under a tree at a friends for 4 days.
Got out the Built Hamber clay bar and the hose on spray and off it all came in about half an hour. Phew what a relief.

I get that a lot here too, usually as I'm just finishing washing / drying the car!

I'm convinced it's insects undertaking strafing runs.

My local MB at Cheshire Oaks is doing Diamond cut skims and refurb at £100 a wheel which is quite reasonable, wonder if any your way are following suit? IIRC the Wheel Specialists are around £125 a wheel..
All depends if they’ve been done before though, twice or a stretch 3 skims is about it

As mentioned by Blobcat, rape seed pollen is rife at the moment and it’s lovely yellow stuff....

It was a cheaper version of that type of stuff...I decanted it into a pot and off I went...with a ¼" stiffish type artist brush and a lot of cleaning up on the way LOL
Since buying the car I can't afford shoes as well

5.5 hour drive to Falmouth, passed a stationary camera van at Bodmin, speedo reading 75 mph hopefully I will be ok!

Lovely 1st floor hotel apartment with Jacuzzi on the sundeck soothed all the drive tension away, perfect!

If anyone has any restaurant or trip suggestions for Falmouth let me know.

Vans are rife down this way, particularly like hiding on any bridges/overpasses!
