Hello, I hope you can help me. I got a dashcam fitted/hardwired on my cl500 at Halfords a few weeks ago and my radio, tv and CD player all stopped working the same day. I didn’t think much of it because they started working again after I turned off the car and started it again. After a week they completely stopped working. Took the car back to Halfords and they couldn’t find the problem so they said to take it to an auto electrician and if it’s their fault they will pay. The car has been at my local Mercedes Benz specialist for 4 days now and they can’t find what the problem is. Anyone ever had problems with their entertainment system and is there anything you can suggest. I am able to access all menus from the command system and the sat nav is working fine. Just the radio and tv don’t bring up any stations and the CD player doesn’t list any songs. Sorry for the long post and thanks for your help.

Its the amplifier/tuner in the boot thats packed up. Circa £1500 exchange part cost from Mercedes unless you can find someone reliable to fix it.

Ok thanks Alfie, i will find out more about this and hopefully get someone to fix it. Reading some other forums it seems that there are some people that repair these in Bulgaria for £300.

Could this have been caused by Halfords? Was it just a coincidence?
