Got back to the car this morning after about 1 1/2 hours after a 30 minute drive and the car wouldn't unlock but the reversing light came on. Entered using the emergency key and the car started but the info screen was blank and then showed "screen malfunction visit workshop", the indicators didn't work and the reversing light stayed on. After driving for 30 seconds all returned to normal. On stopping again later it showed one malfunction on the display and on locking the doors all the indicators continued to flash. Since stopping back home everything is normal no faults on the display, all locks, lights etc. behaving normally.
Another thing a few months ago when driving along all the doors unlocked but locked again when the drivers door lock button was pushed.
The car battery is showing 12.36 volts but has 06 08 stamped on the earth terminal, is this a June 2008 battery?
Anyone any ideas?

It is a 2008 battery , yes . (Either week 6 or month 6) . Can't help with the faults , but the battery has had a good life at 11 years

At least change it before the cold weather comes back. I'd wait for a good online offer, but it doesn't matter if I can't start one morning. Mine had also done over 10 years before I changed it. I didn't have any faults, but the amount of charge left overnight was steadily reducing.

Short trips, it appears MBs don’t like short trips. In winter the instruments, indicators play up due to low voltage (newish battery) Have hot wired Ctek charger to solve the problem.

Finally got around to checking the battery A 005 541 12 01 in the car it's the 100ah option the normal seems to be a 74ah. As it seems to have lasted about 11 years I'm looking at other 100ah batteries.
Bosch, Varta and Yuasa are on my list from €140, €118 and €104 .
Any recommendations?

If the cost is the same I'd plumb for Varta.
€118 for the Varta against €104 for the Yuasa which has 900cca against 830cca for the Varta not that that'll make a difference on my car.
