E250 Cabrio seat belt

Hello my seat belts work just fine, the belt butler works, it even gives you a little tug once you’ve clicked the belt in, however when I release it it doesn’t fully retract and it’s a tad annoying.
It will go off helped slightly.
Any suggestions?????

pull the belt out fully and spray some furniture polish on the end that normally gets hidden away, it should glide back in nicely after that
