I'm just back from my birthday (60th) and wedding anniversay (35th) holiday, the holiday was fantastic, I honestly couldn't have asked for better, unless Camelot have a spare couple of million lying about of course, lol.
We got home last night all ready to do the dreaded unpacking and my oldest boy is there to greet us, which, in itself, was lovely, as we only get to see him occasionally these days.
"Hi Dad, good holiday?" he asks, and in reply, I'm enthusing about the great time we've had, "one more little surprise for you", and he hands me a big, gift wrapped package and, as I quickly open it, find a big wooly jumper which I was delighted with as, coming from 25 degrees in Tenerife to minus 3 degrees at home was a bit of a culture shock, lol.
As I continue to open the jumper out there it an awkwardly shaped second package inside it, Wow! I've wanted these for almost two years! You beauty!
My own personal plate! Yee Haa!!
Can you tell how pleased I am?
So this morning I'm outside, in minus 3 conditions, removing the old plates and fitting the new ones.
JR for my christian names, 59 for the year I was born and MUR for my surname. It doesn't get any better (imho) and to most folk they will just think the reg is in keeping with the age of the car so, reasonably discrete too.
Both my boys contributed and organised it all, I am so chuffed. I have wanted these plates since I saw them on the DVLA Website a couple of years ago.
Thanks boys!
It only took about 30minutes for the feeling to come back in my fingers after I'd finished.
