Hi Guys,
My old 2001 CLK had remote opening and the boot lid would jump open nicely. My current 2005 CLK opens boot catch with remote but the lid stays down. Is this how they are or does in need some love?

Cheers, Mickey

My 2009 CLK unlocks the boot , but doesn’t pop the lid up , but there are no springs to do this (unlike my 2009 E Class )

The w208 had Springs that could be adjusted to make it pop up. I believe the newer w209 has Struts, so no, it won't go up.

My W209 CLK has springs, I think there are adjusting slots th increase spring tension.

Yes, my apologies, I was thinking of the w209 Convertible..... In fact the w208 Convertible has struts also.

So if you remove the Inner Trim on side of the Boot behind the Lights you should see the Spring Adjustments - I only had to tighten one side to make it pop up. I think doing both would have sent the Bootlid into orbit...! :D

Although a different model, it will give you a general idea. And yes, you do have to remove the plastic loading sill as in the Video, although there are no lights in the w208.
