How to clean pop down reversing camera when on your own?

Hello,
With the sticky crud that coats the car in the winter months the pop down reversing camera on the W213 was a blurry mess.
How can I get it to stay down so I can wipe the lens when i'm nobby no mates, in the middle of nowhere?
The Hounds in the back render the rear view mirror for display proposes only.

With the 360’ camera I had you could select the cameras to be on with the button and wheel on the transmission tunnel. I used to do that when going through the car wash so the rear one was cleaned.

Not sure if the option to switch the camera on comes with just the 360’ camera or rear only.

I'm sure my car selects park if I open the door with it in drive .... I'd have to look

A lot of late Mercedes do. You'll find if you put it back into reverse or drive with the door open it will go back in to gear. When reversing my trailer into my drive I like to have the door open to check I am clearing some rocks. It's annoying that it pops into park, but I can go again just by flicking the stalk with the door opened.

Well as an estate model, I was thinking just pop the tailgate open and climb into the back to avoid going out via the window after engaging reverse, avoids the being run over risk. I should have it cleaned and be back in before it hits the service station at the other end of the car park.

Where is the camera located? Im sure I wouldn't be able to reach mine with the tailgate up ?
Would it not stay closed if the tailgate is up?
Mine is great for looking at the stars at night when you cant be arsed to get out your seat
