Yuasa Batteries

Does anyone have any experience of these? The original MB/Varta in my 2005 C230 hasn't let me down as yet but voltage is not great 12.1V if left overnight. No doubt it will just suddenly fail. I was going to go for the 019 100Ah Varta Silver Dynamic with a 5 year warranty but the equivalent Yuasa caught my eye as it seems to have a higher CCA, is pretty much the same price and also has a 5 year warranty. I did get a quote from MB but they are £50 more for the MB badged Varta.

Yuasa has a very good name in the battery world, they are in the Varta class.
If I was in your shoes I would buy the Yuasa.

I have a Yuasa in my ML270, has never given any issues in the two years fitted, it replaced a five year warranty Bosch that failed after 4 years (did not have a receipt so could not claim)

Yuasa bill themselves as the best battery money can buy. Every atv and motorbike that's Japanese have always come with a yuasa from the factory and they last well. A replacement never seems to last as long ?

yuasa are the best. we supply and fit daily to customers cars. cant can't ever recall having one back under warranty

My original MB battery lasted 14 years. replaced it with the same. i mean 14 years come on.

We also only fit Yuasa and never had a problem.

+1 for 5 year Yuasa , the original VW OEM Varta specs were
640 CCA & 80 Ah ,
Now 800 CCA , 85 Ah .

Thanks for all the replies. It looks like a Yuasa. I can't complain about the original. Almost 15 years and still going is quite remarkable considering the wife's SLK is on it's third Varta!

I always tape the recipt to the side of a new battery, that way, well, you've guessed it.

We have had a couple of issues with Yuasa batteries in our Trucks. One was only a couple of weeks ago where it failed after a year. The warranty claim was honoured though. But generally they have been good.

Only know about Varta on my second battery after 6 years .Only changed my old battery last month because alarm kept going off .This fault was because the alarm was set to fine .Nothing wrong with the first battery that i had after 6 years .
