Ambient lighting

Hi everyone,

I'm looking at buying a 2016/2017 e220 amg line. I cant find a straight answer online though - is the ambient lighting standard on those or optional extra?

An old B-Class.
My last 2 cars SLK and SL both had/have ambient lighting - after about a week you forget you have it! Even my wife's lowly 2014 B class has ambient lighting (although not selectable colours) which I only noticed the other day.

The W213 ambient lighting is very different to previous incarnations. 5 levels of brightness and 64 colours. My kids loved picking the colours and setting the brightness to “sunglasses required” level.

Yep my son has it in his new E53 AMG Coupe and the Q7. Changes air vent colours when temp is changed etc. Gimmick in the beginning and then forgotten. MB are clever including it in the premium packages etc - I wouldn't pay extra to have it (however I did pay extra for it in my SL:oops:).

Even the cheap marques now have it which, cheapens it for me. However each to his own, it is nice to buy new toys.:)
