Can anyone identify this component

I replaced the front and rear anti roll bar bushes on a 2007 clk 200 (….what a pain!) and this bracket and lever device is mount on the roll bar (osf). Can anyone tell me what it does and if I have refitted it correctly?

That’s the headlight adjuster and it’s the wrong way round, the black bit should be at ( 3 o’clock).

as above it actively keeps the head lamps at the same level while on the move
