I hope everything pans out for you but for the record, I would never use Halfords for batteries neither allow them anywhere near my car, whoever makes their branded batteries will make them to Halfords own specifications not the manufacturers own, however, a five year guarantee is a five year guarantee and not to be sniffed at.

Fitted it myself . Can't be any worse than a genuine mb battery made by varta, that's now in intensive care after 4 short years.

Cleared codes and all went away , I drove 50 yards and now they all back. I cant even select forward or reverse now. Help !!!!

1. With the engine running?

14.7 running . 12.8 not . I called the aa out and with 2 brains managed to get it sorted . Its driving OK now. Touch wood.

I think the faults laid with me using the dash menus to disable esp etc , the aa lads scanner couldn't talk to certain things, as a last resort I enabled all again via dash and pixie dust fell and everything worked OK again. Weird science.

Flatbed was enroute 20 minutes beforehand. Hopefully its sorted. Damn cars !!!!

They look good but there's a third step, you need to remove the surface charge for a true battery charge reading by; Engine off, turn ignition to pos 1, turn on all lights for 4 mins, turn lights off and read terminal voltage again, what is the reading this time?

M8 I've been fking about since 9am. I've not eaten , I've had the aa out and the cans of Stella are out. My true charge is very low too. Ha ha.... but its rising.

They’re all undervoltage related, either that or you have a failed SAM as well.

They’re all undervoltage related, either that or you have a failed SAM as well.

Its all good for now . A failed sam wouldn't self fix , would it ??? Hopefully they have all re adjusted to the new battery now.

No it will either work ok, intermittently or not at all. Won’t magically get better. From what I can see though the DTCs you show are all related module wise, and likely to be related to undervoltage too

Thanks m8. We managed to get all the errors to go. And a short drive later the car worked as it should.
