cover won't open

E320 CDI CD changer won't open
As mentioned elsewhere, the audio system self checks and then powers off, so I want to try to bypass the CD to see if that's the problem, but the flap to give access to CD won't open. What can I do to persuade it to open? All fuses are OK. Thanks- pgh13
