Unfortunatley I have to sell my car.

It is a 1989 300 SL, Nautic blue with black leather interior. 60K miles. FMBSH. It is in mint condition.

Can anyone advise me for what price I should advertise my car? Or is anyone looking for a car?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Cheers
Pete

Depending on which guide you read top notch is about 13-14K.

If yours is mint and one of the last models I would head for that. Low mileage and FMBSH are invaluable. Hold out for your price though and don't take initial offers. I recently bought one and the good ones sell pretty damn quick. The dogs stay on the market forever.

Geographical location seems to make a difference too. Prices are certainly higher in London especially at dealers (See below).

Check out Chelsea Cars also!!

MBOA magazine this month shows models similary to yours up in the 15-17K mark but this is an awful lot.

I would head for the £ 14 K mark on a private sale.

If you can hold out go for more and offer an MB inspection. That way you could up your price to nearer dealer level as you can give the buyer piece of mind and get some good revenue (MB Signature check will cost about £ 180.) .

Let us know how you get on.
