Hi all

Used a new product today, Chemical Guys G36 and G38 with the Hexlogic pads. It was applied with a Random DA.

I also have G34 but I chose not to use that.

Turned out pretty well I think:

Thanks indeed! I didnt get a chance to clay before the polish which I know I should have done. The finishing touches will need to wait until next weekend.

Thanks! Yes I dragged her away from the tv to come and look at her car, she wasnt impressed at all! :)

I didnt clay this one before polishing, but the next time I do I will. I must admit I have never used my clay bar.

I had a Meguires one and it worked really well but they get very dirty so swapped to a basic one which I cut up and got 3 out of

Does the job just as well but at a 3rd of the cost. I do want to try one of those mits though they are supposed to be superb

Not bad money on Amazon

lovely job, the only thing i'd add to it is to use some colour on the grey plastic to darken it, i think that would make it look perfect.

i have same clay towel too, nice piece of kit but only complaint i have with these is that they its way more easy to mar the paint finish with these especially if you are using the whole towel or just folding it in half, a more workable portion is about the size of a claybar and i still prefer the feel of a claybar then a towel which feel bit flimsy while using.

though ofcouse as a person who has dropped way too many clay bars on the floor this thing is so much more convenient.

theres a another system on a market, nanoskin auto scrub system, these have a pad among other things in the kit which can be used with a polishing machine and my freind can do the whole car in 30-45 min safely , they are available in different intensities just like clay bars,

that said i still prefer the feel of a claybar and use it more often but thats just me.

Thanks, yeah I forgot to mask up those areas so I need to clean off the polish before I can dress them properly :(

I would just use Auto Glym Bumper Care straight on it, it will clean and make it very black
