Hello everyone, I don't know about everyone else but here in sunny Blackpool it's done nothing but rain.
As a result I noticed a slight drip above the passenger window. Last year I waterproofed it all with cheap aerosol tins (x8) while they worked till now it's looking like it needs redoing. I've also noticed some green appearing again, that I normally remove with a toothbrush.
What I'd like to do is buy a tin of waterproofer that will last a while and can be applied with a paintbrush. So does anyone know of one that's proven to work. And while here can you buy a vinyl black paint so it looks like new?
Thanks

As above by @Wearsafoxhat use Renovo black convertible roof paint .
Fabsil Gold is cheap to brush on as you can buy big tins of it . (Renovo also do roof cleaners and proofers)
As for the green mould do a pre wash and scrub with Milton baby bottle tablet cleaners from the supermarket (I forget the exact name of them)

Used to have a C63...
Don't forget... your biggest improvements will come with thorough prep of the roof before applying the waterproof treatment.

Used Renova (and others) on other half's MINI Cab, worked well... but I did have two goes at cleaning & decontamination beforehand. (About 7hrs worth when she first got the car!)

The A207 roof is 3 layers with a central rubberised layer to keep any penetranting water from the top away from the inside layer. In reality it shouldn't be dripping through the inside layer. Possible damage maybe or it could be condensation formed on the rubber layer and dripped onto the interior layer. That can happen if the ambient temps are right. Have you tested by soaking the roof and seeing the results? Good luck Buck!

The leak is just where the roof and the passenger window meet, around the front left side windscreen pillar is and it's only a few drips, but enough to annoy the passenger lol.
The cheap stuff had worked for a while so I thought I could put a thicker coat on to last much longer.
I think as Rotahead500 said I'll spend longer on the prep then use the renovo black (is that a waterproofer and paint in one?)
Thanks for the help....I'm also doing the suspension just now...that's another post

It’s not a waterproofed and paint combined, you buy 2 seperate ones .
Have you checked the drains are clear on the passenger side pillar ?
Try some silicone grease or gummipfledge/krytox on that top seal as well .

+1 on the gummipfledge and making sure the seals are clean and drains clear. The gummipfledge also good in stopping squeaking where glass meets seals etc! Brave man tackling the suspension. Have you got sports adaptive damping? Expensive job that!

Hi I've cleaned in the channel on the roof, and it sealed pretty good last time. But I wanted to make the roof look cleaner/newer and also waterproof.
My suspension (I've made another post in the suspension category) is just the strut and spring (if required) no electrics.
I was just curious where people bought shocks/springs etc. MB with be super expensive, eBay I don't trust... euro car parts sell them, but I wondered what others purchased and where from.
Lastly much as I like the car it's 2011 with 148000 on the clock and could do with aftermarket wheels to so I'm wondering if it's even worth it.

Try AUTODOC (8 day delivery ) . I think my springs and shocks were both Sachs when I bought them (it was Sachs shocks that came off the car)

Per Wighty Autodoc are very good. Also ask Mercedes Grangemouth (parts team) for a price too. Most of us on here have had things from them and if you mention the forum they usually give a healthy discount. It also ensures you get the correct parts. I wouldn't trust ebay either for such a critical part.
