Redex for diesel only 2 quid at Tesco

As above

Redex for diesel only 2 quid at Tesco at the moment

Stuck a bottle in the tank with only 1/4 fuel in for a quick clean.

The engine seems quieter so bought a few more just to chuck in on a regular basis

I got 29.4 mpg. An improvement if 1.1mpg or 4%. As the cost is about 1p per litre or 0.8%, it is a good investment.

I think I am going to use it when going on a long run but not bother the rest of the time.

Therefore the bottle I bought for £10 should last me a whole year and save me £45ish.

I'll report back after the return journey return.

Return journey more or less the same at 29.6mpg. So it is definitely a 4-5% improvement. And the car is quieter, has more torque and is more responsive.

So, as I said, I will be using it on long runs.

Hey all,

A quick update - though not really from me lol.

A friend asked what the additive was I'd started using & we picked some up from Halfords the other day. He popped it in E350 CDI Sport Coupe and I forgot about it. Asked him the other day if he'd noticed anything and he was raving about a 5-10% increase in MPG! He does tend to do longer trip much of the time, but he also does a fair bit of pottering around town. So, he is very pleased with the results.

Note: his car has the Brabus tuning package.

As for me, not been driving much of late (still) plus MB reset my trip computer the other day - I'm still on my first tank with the Millers added.

Cheers,

Scoob.

What's his overall MPG? 5-10% must surely equate to something like 2-4MPG, which is probably well within the scope of experimental error!

Could be margin of error, but suddenly seeing a regular 2-4mpg improvement on trips he's been doing the past 18 months after adding the stuff seems significant enough. I'll suggest he tot up the total miles per tank too as some form of control and do the usual fuel in for miles out calculation.

Oh, I forgot to mention he said he thought the car responded a little better too. Basically everything he's saying is the result I used to get with just 2-stroke oil in my prior car. Really not done the miles of late to assess myself - he does do a fair few miles though, so I thought his results relevant. Incidentally, his car is 6 months newer than mine yet he's now overtaken me quite convincingly!

Well, it coincides with my results if you allow for the inefficiencies of moving a shed (ML) through the air. What are the probabilities of three owners having similar margins of error?

lorry drivers and tax i drivers have been useing auto transmision fluid into the diesel fuel for years, 2 ltrs of atf into 20 ltrs fuel in three consecutive doses works wonders,,,, 5 ltrs of atf from euro parts is about £20

Interesting turn on this thread.

Carcinogenic, the word used to scare people out of smoking, and to increase protest against smokers. And more.

The only way to get cancer from a diesel car is to suck in the exhaust over a long period of time, by which time you would burn your lips on the exhaust.

Utter twaddle, which is how many people are coerced into supporting daft movements.

Same over-protectionist twaddle as on another thread I am interested in, which is about what oil to use in my auto box - "stick with MB or you'll need to change your gearbox!"

What a load of daft scare-mongery. The reason for the switch to diesel, my friends, in countries such as Greece, is because even the thick continual black smoke from original uncontrolled engine, is less dangerous to humans than the standard petrol engine.

However, the smell is awful and Athens clogs up from the smog every summer. But here? Who cares. We have to reduce the population somehow, so the rest of us can get a job!

Let's listen to and obey the twaddle? Nope!

;););)

well we are all going to die look pretty silly dieing of good health
