Advice needed

My E class Mercedes M106 VHG has come to the end of its days. It had become a way of life for me purchased many many years ago. I would love another Mercedes but I would have to buy second hand; I do minimal mileage of a local nature. What would people advise? I'm open to suggestions since I'm no car buff. I just love my Mercedes! I can only afford to pay up to £10,000 but it would be easier if I could pay less.

The 204 is much nicer than the 203, and 17" wheels are much better than 16" on the 204. With full or 1/2 leather I'd recommend heated seats, otherwise they're damned cold in winter. Parktronic would also be nice - wish mine had it! And, as Malcolm suggests, the small petrol engine should be more than adequate. Another thought might be a B class rather than a C, but if you're used to the space of the E you might find the B too small.

Do you need a car a large as the E Class or would a W204 C class be large enough?
Both models can be had for under your budget but its not much point linking cars that aren't suitable.
I took the original post as wanting another E Class?
