Annoying Noise

I have ignored this for a few months (pre replacement of door trim to rectify broken inner door handle) but sometimes when I lock/unlock the door of my 2009 C class or get in the car I hear a sound burst like a machine gun for about 2 seconds at the rear ?

It is an electronic sound but am bemused as to what it is? The car performance is ok and there are no warning signals shown on the dash.

Is this just one of those things ?

Can't help on this - though I suspect linked to centrel locking.

I had a constant drone in front nearside of my car but went out without the wife and it went completely.

You may have a point. I'll ban my wife for 2 weeks and re evaluate the situation!!
