Hello Dave and welcome. We have a similar car, one of the last of the 203s, dated 2007. It struggled to average 40 mpg initially and now averages about 44, with a lifetime average of 40 (it has now done just over 40,000).

A robust and willing power unit, but not the thriftiest. Compared to other cars though, the way the car is put together, its reliability, its comfort and lack of creaks and groans all contribute to place it above many of its contemporaries.
