B6 Passat tyres

Hey all,

Need tyres for my b6, 235/45/17R

Had a look around and found the following:

Wanli s1063 £65/corner
Avon ZZ3 £90/corner
BARUM BRAVURIS 2 £90/corner

Anyone had the wanli, or should i stick with one of the other(more expensive) two?

I had a Wanli put on my car once after a puncture - never again the noise was like a wheel bearing about to fall out (all from a single tyre)

Would recommend Kumho KU31's, about £97 each from event tyres.

I have the same size on my E39. I've just been quoted £120 / corner "mates rates" for Continental ContiSport IIIs

The car has Dunlops on it at present but I swopped the wheels over winter for a set with Vredestein winter tyres. They are fantastic in snow but I wasn't reckoning on them being so much quieter than the Dunlops

I'd give the Wanlis a very wide berth and stick with the Avons or Barums. Or up the budget a bit and get Michelins or Contis - they will last longer, grip better and be quieter

Thanks...it was like asking on a VW forum about tyres for my 210 E class, would they know what it was?
