Hi all , just joined and came straight here as this is the thing I love most about cars ...
Love detailing !! Especially black cars .. My merc was heavily swirled due to car washes and back street cleaners ... Had to machine polish it 3 times to get paint in a condition to be pleased about ...

My product combination of choice has to be nattys black hole ( machined on ) then the new nattys black paste wax with ( if I have enough time ) auto glym high definition wax .. The result is stunning I have to say !!

ah I really should change my signature picture, unfortunately the old girl had to be sold back in January and I'm now in a Peugeot 508 RXH, I do miss that car too best car I've every bought, ran her for 5 1/2 years and about 100k miles. I will be back in a Merc in the future but for the moment the "French Surrender Mobile" (as many on here have decided to call it) will have to do.

on a side note if your after a second set of alloys for winter then I've still got a set in the garage, their 17's but would fit, their getting refurbed then powder coated next week and I was going to stick them on ebay but your welcome to have first refusal.

Welcome Phil lovely car fella, your obviously a detailing aficionado, not many people know what those products even are, I have a black 320 estate with AMG brakes/suspension & wheels in my workshop at the moment which I will probably keep and wet sand before machine polish, I only have Mercs now but before that everything I did have had to be black and detailed to death, what a way to relax and forget the week regards Steve

Welcome - that's a great car.

You would benefit greatly from a DI vessel - water marks like black cars a lot.

The DI vessels are brilliant but I think my one needs a recharge with resin, its not doing its thing any more

Beautiful job on your car and black looks awesome when cared for, but!

My oh! My do they need looking after.

My previous black car looked superb for about a day but looked terrible after a run in the rain.
